We can all be our best selves, but this latent capacity needs to be intentionally cultivated.
I am on a journey of trying to understand what my humanity demands of me. What is the right thing to do in a world where the certainties of the past no longer hold and the norms of the future are yet to take hold?
My work is about helping people to live lightly in an increasingly complex world. I help people to grow, to shift from a concern with me and my family to a concern with my responsibility as a member of society.
I help people evolve their moral, emotional and spiritual development to a stage where they appreciate that all members of society possess freedoms, and that responsibilities arise from those freedoms.
In a world of complex inter-dependence it is easy to hide and to avoid direct engagement in the business of helping others. Doing the right thing demands altruistic action.
Young people, leaders, citizens who engage with me evolve into warrior activists. They possess the values, tools and mindset that enables them to behave altruistically and do the right thing in the face of others’ suffering.
